Que.:-1) How would you like to explain Eliot's concept of Tradition? Do you agree with it?

Ans.:-

             Yes, I am agree with Eliot's definition of tradition and about good poetry. In his essay try to explain very simply and effectively. I also like he connected process of poetry with chemical matter. He also give support to fit old tradition in poetry rather than  imitation and copy of tradition. and another things is that the writer writes with history in his bones. this sentence was very well interrupted in his essay.

2) What do you understand by Historical sence?

Ans:-

          I understand historical sense enable a writer to write not only of the pastness of the past, but also of its presence and historical sense enables a writer to write not only with his own generation in mind, but with a feeling that the whole of the literature. It is probably thought for writers if writer blindly adherence to the literary tradition of the past tradition so its like copying work and Its not like individual work for reader. Because of writers just know about historical sense and create something new.

Que.:-3) What is the relationship between “tradition” and “the individual talent,” according to the poet T. S. Eliot?

Ans.:-

            T.S.Eliot says that tradition has own way and mostly new poet imitates words,styles,reference and also language. Another side is that "individual talent" has not connection with tradition because "talent also comes from heart." but Many time we can saw that when poet does not art during that time they shift beyond tradition.Eliot also give example of William Shakespeare. He explains that Shakespeare has not dramatists because of he read story and translation another language in own way. He breaks difference new tradition and rules.

4) Explain:" Some can absorb knowledge, the more tardy must sweat for it. Shakespeare acquired more essential history from Plutarch than most men could from the whole British museum".

Ans:-

            It means that writers must have been understand sense of literary reading others can learn by absorbing from experience and observation and a little reading. It means Writer must have wide knowledge. Of course Shakespeare was not educated but Shakespear such great arrange of character,themes,plot and thought in his work. Its seems that Eliot anticipated that somebody will question him on Shakespeare, as being an exception to the rule, he is giving in his essay.

Que.:-5) Explain: "Honest criticism and sensitive appreciation is directed not upon the poet but upon the poetry"

Ans.:-

              T.S.Eliot say that Art was more important rather than Artist. I like and  agree with this quote. When any critic do arguments on any poets poem at that time they  should become honest  and also say reality. Mostly poet introduced own feeling and own self. So it's no need in the poem.We know that great writers popular through his style and work.

6) How would you like to explain Eliot's theory of depersonalization ? You can explain with the help of chemical reaction in presence of cataylst agent, platinum.

Ans:-

            I like his depersonalization theory explain to give this reference chemical reaction he try to explain the process when the two gases Oxygen and sulphur dioxide are mixed in the presence of a filament of platinum, they form sulphurous acid. This combination takes place only if the platinum is present, nevertheless the newly formed acid contains no trace of platinum and the platinum itself is apparently unaffected has remained inert and unchay. Creative process:
                     Catalyst
    So3 + H2O--------> H2SO4
                    Platinum
This scientific reaction through explain the mind of the poet is the shred of platinum.

Que.:-7) Explain: " Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion; it is not the expression of personality, but an escape from personality."

Ans.:-

            In this quote Eliot says that When poet sits to write poem that time poet must be remain  to aloof  from his own  effective emotion and experiences. If possible for poet, so they don't reflect to own condition and feeling. According to my opinion poetry doesn't only platform of express feeling and emotion. Eliot says that no need to express emotion of poet in own work.

8) Write two points on which one can write critique on T.S.Eliot as a critic.

Ans:-

1) He gave concept of Tradition and Individual Talent.
2) He describe theory of depersonalization .
